Ingredients

- 15 g of beeswax (or a vegan alternative such as carnauba wax)

- 25 g of cocoa butter or shea butter

- 20g coconut oil

- 15-30 drops of lemongrass essential oil from Java

- 5-10 drops of neem essential oil, eucalyptus oil and mint oil (individually or together)

- molds for mini financier or other shape if you prefer

- glass jar

- water pan

How to

Preparation: 5 mins - Cooking: 6 min - Makes about 12 pastilles

1. Put the jar in the pan of water so as to prepare a bain-marie.

2. Put the beeswax and cocoa butter in the jar.

3. Heat gently to melt them.

4. Add coconut oil.

5. When everything is liquid, mix well.

6. Test the consistency of the mixture:pour a drop on a cold plate. If the consistency is too hard, add coconut oil. If it's too soft, add beeswax.

7. When you have the right consistency, take the pot out of the bain-marie and let cool.

8. Add the essential oils and stir lightly.

9. Pour into small molds and let cool and harden.

10. Unmold.

And There you go ! Your organic mosquito repellent tablets are already ready to be applied :-)

Easy, quick and delicious, right?

Now just rub one of the lozenges on the arms, neck and legs. Then, massage to make the mixture penetrate the skin.

With the heat of the body, the scents will come out and keep away the mosquitoes that circle around you.

I advise you to coat yourself with this mosquito repellent as soon as you go out, in the evening if you dine on the terrace or before going to sleep.

Additional advice

What I love about this homemade mosquito repellent recipe is that it's totally natural.

It's way better than all the chemical repellents we spray on our skin.

In addition, it is a 0 waste solution:no unnecessary and polluting packaging.

If you like this DIY recipe, you can also vary the essential oils:rose geranium, basil, lemon eucalyptus, true lavender.

Warning :this solid mosquito repellent to put on the skin is not suitable for small children or pregnant women because of the essential oils.

On the other hand, it may be suitable for dogs or horses. Only condition:do not expose the "rubbed" part to the sun.

The remedy is effective against classic mosquitoes, but perhaps not strong enough against tiger mosquitoes.
